On the second day of journey, the Palace on Wheels train reaches the Pink City of Rajasthan. Jaipur Trip in the Morning
The train itinerary promises a traditional Indian welcome and you can experience it at the Jaipur railway station. You would receive the red carpet styled royal welcome with traditional music, elephants and other elements. After breakfast, you would be taken on a road trip in a luxury vehicle. You would be enjoying a late lunch, thus, have a heavy breakfast to help you enjoy the whole morning. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and light clothing. By late morning, you would be taken to Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. You would be surprised to see the list of ancient instruments of astronomy inside Jantar Mantar. The wind palace (Hawa Mahal) is a very good spot for clicking many photographs.
Jaipur trip in the Afternoon
You would be taken to the fort of Amber for a series of activities. First, you would enjoy an elephant ride into the palace. If desired, you can choose jeep safari instead of elephants. Inside the fort, you can find a traditional luxury restaurant, which serves royal dishes to enjoy the cuisine of the land. After the late lunch, you would be taken for a full excursion through Amber Fort. Amer fort was constructed by red sandstones. Amer Fort is also known as Amer Palace. Entry Fees are 550 Per Person for Foreign Tourists and Rs.100 per person for Indians. Fort is open 9 in the morning and closed at 6 in the evening. You can find many palaces, courtyards and other architectural marvels inside the fort named as Hall of public audience, Sukh mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Kesar Kyaari, Diwan-e-aam, and others. Later, you would be taken to the streets of Jaipur for a shopping session. If you are not interested in shopping, you can enjoy photography sessions and street foods of the land.
